| Note | Robust specimen that exhibits a symmetrical, balanced and lovely arranged display of classic guttata large dorsal spotting. The deep water specimen shows excellent form, symmetry and excellent nacre glow with expanded base lines climbing the lateral walls. The shell presents with a moderate weight/size ratio (20.8 grams), a wonderful impressive base pattern and a near bicallosa subspecies appearance. Taken by fishermen off Bohol, Philippines using tangle nets at 120-150 meters in the 90s. The shell shows a collection of silt stains in the aperture on the fossula teeth. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
