| Note | ONE OF THE BIGGEST EVER SEEN AND FOUND WOOOOOOW!!! MONSTER SIZE with amazing and unbelievable 140mm. Extremely rare size for the species with colossal thickness. Really heavy and fat specimen with the thickest lip you will see, large aperture with original operculum, thick intact lip, impressive 7 varices all around, white color form and the most thick specimen ever found. Do not miss this ultra rare huge specimen for giant shells collector lovers. This giant is coming with natural imperfections for the size and open sea specimen, there is no scars but the shells shows several micro drill holes here and there as usual and light erosion. Do not expect a Gem specimen , this specimen is in rough condition for this giant size but really interesting to compare with small ones and the biggest for your collection. This is one of the most common large species of Muricidae in the Mexican Pacific and is widely used as seafood in restaurants. Although open sea Hexaplex princeps are generally 99.9% completely ugly with classic dense erosion, missing spines all around, large drill holes, no coloration or pattern, and thick calcareous organisms attached all around them almost impossible to remove, that is the common Hexaplex princeps. Found attached on, under and between large muddy stones with oysters and mussels about 4m- 7m deep. Playa Piratas near Arroyo Seco, Playa Chica, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2026.
