| Note | Very rare and scientifically intriguing specimen, light brown in coloration, with the aperture partially occluded by well-developed lamellae. This shell may represent an undescribed species or a taxon not yet reported from Colombia, adding significant scientific interest. The specimen shows minor chipping to part of the outer lip and evident signs of erosion, consistent with its natural habitat. Collected by local inhabitants in July 2025 beneath forest compost in the humid Andean forest of southern Santander Department, Colombia, at an elevation of 1,620 meters above sea level. An excellent opportunity for advanced collectors, professional malacologists, and institutional reference collections. |
