| Note | Rare endemic species from the Colombian Andes. Due to the extensive loss of original humid and cloud forests in this region, specimens have become increasingly scarce and difficult to obtain. This shell is characterized by a distinct lower band with alternating white and black coloration, a thick black outer lip gradually fading to violet, and overall attractive coloration. It shows minor signs of erosion, slight apex wear, and visible growth lines, all consistent with natural conditions and not detracting from the specimen’s appeal. Collected among leaf litter in a humid forest at an elevation of 1,550 meters above sea level in July 2024. A desirable Andean specimen for advanced collections. |
