Arrhoges occidentalis - Very Rare , (H. Beck, 1836)
Size
51 mm
Locality
Off Newfoundland
Note
A very rare species, very difficult to obtain. This specimen was apparently collected alive, considering the shiny interior of the shell and the lip. It presents very nicely in dorsal view, however it has an obvious damage in the ventral part (as can be seen in the images). A very low price for an interesting Strombidae, the only aporrhaid from the Americas.
