| Note | Last year while returning from farther north during May 2025, we spent some time collecting in the Red Bluff area and ran across this stunning dead collected jeaniana. It was found being lugged around by a hermit crab in a sponge garden in 54 metres of water west of Red Bluff. Striking shell with sparse distinct brown spots on a pale chevron patterned dorsum. It is a heavy flared mature shell with a black base and large distinct spots on high cream margins. It has minor nacre erosion and a chip on it's posterior siphon. Fine. It is a stunner. |
