| Note | A superb large specimen of the VERY RARE LEMON colour form. Balanced proportions. Characteristic solidity exhibited by specimens from this locality. Typical minor loss to tertiary varix, but exemplary overall condition. Completely as in life, with extremely minimal encrustation. (Could be further cleaned if so desired.) Not freshly collected for many years, and now obtainable only from the choicest old collections. For the Muricidae specialist whose collection yet lacks this rare colour form. Data: Off Cape Leveque, Kimberley Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon reef substrate; 12-14 m; dived; 1992. Size: 67.8 mm. Grading: Fine++; w/o.
