A superb very large specimen of this endemic south-eastern Australian species – the largest and most beautiful of all Australian Clanculus – exhibiting an atypically well-formed pattern of the highest aesthetic merit. Elegant beaded external sculpture. Incredibly sculptural apertural entrance and columella. Seldom offered at this level of beauty. Data: Sandy Point, Waratah Bay, Gippsland Region, Victoria, Australia; upon rock reef substrate, under slab, at low tide; 1990. Size: 32.3 mm. Grading: Fine++.
