| Note | This is the most BEAUTIFUL specimen of this RARE, ENDEMIC MAURITIAN species I have ever encountered, as, not only does it exhibit the living delicate apricot ground, but it is patterned with pale yellowish caramel maculations. Highly sculptural external surface. Rare retention of original operculum. Extremely difficult to obtain upon account of its inherent scarcity, inaccessability of its locality, and natural camouflage. A truly EXQUISITE example for the advanced land snail specialist. Data: Montagne Cabris region, Rodriguez Island, Mauritius; upon soil substrate, in forest, in cave entrance, amongst thick leaf litter and grasses; April 1992. Size: 29.6 mm. Grading: Gem; w/o.
