| Note | VERY RARE SPECIES IN MEXICO WOOOW!! Superb sculpture with the best axial and spiral ribs all around with light brown banding and spotting colors all around, thin lip with elegant aperture and unusual very rare intact protoconch WOOOW!! F+++-GEM!! Each time I am amazed when I find one of these. Maybe 2 to 3 specimens per year with a lot of luck. And always in different ecosystems. From places near mangroves, lagoons, mouths, between rocks and sands, corals and more. So my conclusion is that this species is very adaptable to all ecosystems but very scarce with really small populations. They are solitary and for the most part it could be said that they are nocturnal, since all those that I have found have been under rocks, caves or buried in areas with a lot of darkness and inactive. Found attached under stones with mud about 1 and 2m deep. Escollera el Eden near Laguna de Cuyutlan, Colima, Mexico. November 2025.
