NoteHeavenly example of Umbilia, with distinctive apricot/sandstone orange dorsal botch, thick glossy nacre and perfect extremities that are highlighted by flesh/nude/pastel salmon hues. The shell is moderately heavy for its size (68.0g) and shows remarkable form and an amazing wide dorsal line that tapers and closes off as it falls down the labral anterior ramp. A remarkable pattern unique and admired by avid collectors. The shell is wonderfully inflated, well rostrated and exquisite example of this sub-variety. The shell also features a light pastel salmon pigmented base. Trawled at 130-150 meters off the western Great Australian Bight, Eucla, Western Australia. There is a heavily glossed silt inclusion on columellar anterior ramp. F+++/GEM.
