Stunning specimen collected from a finger sponge on silty sand with very sparse sessile growth in 120 metres of water. Found in May 2025 west north west of Thevenard Island. The shell has sparse dark chocolate and tan spots on a beige dorsum , distinct dark siphon trim and a creamy apricot colored base.
I do not anticipate collecting further specimens given how remote the habitat is, the cost and effort of accessing that location and at my age nearing retirement.
Graded Fine++ due to an obvious silt inclusion to the dorsum and some very fine growth can be felt.
