| Note | Beautifully formed specimen with moderate pattern coloring dorsally with excellent/profound nodulation. The conch shows an elegant display of pattern and nacre gloss ventrally. The specimen exudes a classic mauve and subtle violet pigmentation embedded in the pigmented axial rings on the spire and body whorl. Heavy specimen with exceptional overall ventral body/aperture gloss with a strong weight/size ratio (85.2 grams). Collected by diver at 20-25 meters on hard reef between grass and algae off Hospital Point, Guam, Western Pacific. The shell shows modest erosion of both spine tips and the protoconch. Grade: F+++. |
