| Note | SPECIAL GRANULATE BANDING EFFECT ALL AROUND WOOOW!! Striped and banding dramatic lip coming after with multiple tiny white dots banding with granulate effect all around, elegant dorsal elevated nodules with dorsal dark brown large spot. The ventral side shows a superb strong orange color form, colossal thick lip with multiple glossy denticles and deep fresh orange-white background color. Seldom seen original operculum. The dorsal part is just so exquisite with phenomenal multiple kind of colors and unique designs between the dark brown elegant spotted banding. The spire present micro elegant details in pattern all around with so beautiful great effect. Dramatic curved lip with an unique thickness. There are some natural imperfections like growth mark only not really detracting the beauty of this uncommon species like. These mysterious species are usually buried under the granular sand in the coastal zone, between 1m to 15m deep, but they are usually in muddy areas where there are sea urchins to feed on them, which is what they like the most. But they are nocturnal and are rarely seen hunting during the day. Some are 1cm under the sand but in extreme cases and growth I have found them up to 30cm under the granulate sand. The incredible bright orange animal with bright colors makes you think they are dangerous. I consider this species to be rare after so many years of searching for them in their territory. They are also solitary, which makes them more difficult to find, especially when they are buried, resting or growing. Found buried 10cm in muddy sand between big muddy stones about 5m deep. Escollera el Eden, Laguna de Cuyutlan, Colima, Mexico. November 2025. Value for this special granulate banding effect with the best pattern you can see and so fresh: 55-60 euro.
