Scurria scurra - Very Nice, Selected , (R. P. Lesson, 1830)
Size
25.8 x 16.8 mm
Locality
Caldera, northern Chile
Note
One very nice and selected specimen of Scurria scurra. This limpet lives exclusively in the stipes of giant algae Lessonia, and it is often washed ashore alive incrusted in their stipes. This particular specimen has a very nice shell, even retaining its original dark brown protoconch which is only found in a few individuals. A very nice specimen for a very low initial price.
