NoteTo date we have only collected three praeclara specimens with white bases. Almost all specimens collected have ink black bases. This crabbed shell was ROV collected from 76 metres of water west of the Southern Zuytdorp Cliffs in Western Australia during May 2025. With lovely high creamy apricot sides and a dark mottled dorsum. The siphons are highlighted in chocolate brown, a contrast to the apricot base. In good condition for a dead shell with some nacre erosion and a chipped posterior siphon.
