| Note | An ultra-large specimen of this VERY RARE deep-water form of this endemic South Australian species, in which the dual broad spiral bands of dark chocolate are particularly well-developed and clearly delineated. Hypermature: solid and heavy, with PERFECT, fully mature, thickened and glossed apertural lip and siphonal canal. Typical minor sand abrasion to dorsum. Beautiful colours. A product of the ‘GAB’ trawling operations of the 1990s, and not freshly collected since. Now extremely difficult to obtain, coming only from choice old collections. Data: Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Goldfields-Esperance Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon coarse sand substrate; 90-110 m; trawled; 1996. Size: 117.1 mm. Grading: Fine+++.
