| Note | One very nice live-taken and gargantuan specimen of Fissurella cumingi. This specimen was carefully cleaned and treated with mineral oil to highlight the very nice dark color of the dorsum, and it is in very good condition for the species, with some tiny chips and nicks in the border, but with a nice dorsum as can be seen in the images. This one is the largest cumingi which I have obtained, and I received it recently from the fishermen. I am offering it with a very low initial price due to the damages to the border and the old hairline-crack in the shell, but this is the largest documented specimen for the species. |
