| Note | ULTRA RARE UNIQUE AND SPECIAL BANDED FORM!! This species is so variable that sometimes some specimens, due to their shapes, colors, and sculpture, can be seen as totally different species. Throughout my career, I have found: brown in all shades, grays, blacks, yellows, pinks(rare), oranges, greens, reddish, purple, white(rare), and more, but the rarest color form of all is the one with bands like this one here. Extremely rare and hard to get in any conditions when they are banded, here the one with Museum conditions Gem banded a dream shell to be presume and to keep it in a special play at your display area. Black brown granulate banded color form, the black color band goes from lip to the apex almost with an elegant perfection. The brown color present a granulate areas between the varices with superb effect, scales naturally present around and the most elegant undulated spire sculpture making a great effect with the black coloration. Orange tremendous ring aperture with superb thick massive lip. One of the best banded I have ever seen. A species very adaptable to all types of conditions from deep waters to populations at low tide exposed to the sun light. They usually like shallow and turbid waters rich in nutrients and in estuarine areas with mangroves or where oysters, mussels and chamas are abundant, which is their main food, they are sea scavenger. Found attached between stones and oysters with mud about 6m to 7m deep. Escollera El Eden, between the Channel near Laguna de Cuyutlan, Colima,, Mexico. November 2025.
