NoteThis is a truly hard species to get hold on, very seldom offered. I developed a personal technique to collect very small cowries that I cannot actually see during a dive, but suspect are there. The basis is being familiar with their habitat. I dived this shell (the only one I ever had of this species) at 12 mt on the wall of a surge challel in the north part of the Fakarava atoll during my last trip to the Tuamotu in 2020. Pictures don't help much to appreciate this little shell: it is hard to take decent images of such a small thing with a the telephone camera, even using the macro lenses.
