LOTTIIDAE - Lottia mesoleuca (Menke, 1851). SPECIAL UNIQUE GREEN PISTACHIO VENTRAL COLOR WOOOOW!! One of the most elegant color form with unusual Green pistachio color between the brown-white spotted ring lip. Astounding ventral color combinations. The dorsal side shows a dense elegant erosion on top changing the colors of white - yellowish, green and finally brown ring lip with elegant white multiple tents. Rare to get so green colors and really beautiful even there is usual erosion on top. F+++-F++. This is the highest selected and seldom seen conditions you can get for the species with extremely strong and vivid exotic colors. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds attached to the smooth stones, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Playa Punta Negra, Puerto Vallarta, Bahia de Banderas, Jalisco, Mexico. August 2025. Value for this exotic color combination and pattern: 27-30 euro. Good luck and Happy shelling!!! MEXICO PACIFIC
