| Note | Whilst using the ROV we come across some very dead shells laying on the bottom which we refer to as “rocks”. Some of these are collected and rather than discarded. This shell has totally lost its nacre and is severely eroded. I offer it as I believe there are collectors who would appreciate the specimen despite its poor condition. Collected in 135 metres of water off the coast of Augusta, Western Australia. This specimen features a china white base colour, fading to a soft creamed honey dorsum, interspersed with tan spotting mainly around the left and right margins. Feels solid in hand. |
