NoteULTRA RARE BLAAAACK!! THE KING OF DARKNESS!! Muricanthus nigritus, ambiguus, and radix are very famous and popular worldwide. Probably because of their unique designs banding and sculpture among the Murex, with their large sizes and unique coloring between a white background and black spines. A classic in many amateur and advanced collections. Although some exceptions and rarities sometimes come and go, the most beautiful rarity among them is the black coloring. Here I present the real black specimen, extremely rare and virtually absent. Almost impossible color in this species and the most hard color form of the species. This specimen is undoubtedly a piece of art to be proud of and display at the front of your display case or collection. There isn't much to describe about this specimen, except that it is extremely rare and very black. There is a very thin white line around it, making it even more unique. There is a micro natural chip inside the siphon canal not really really harming this elegant beauty otherwise Museum piece. Gem minus. The best exquisite high selection for this seldom seen species. Do not miss this unique opportunity to get this real top black spiny masterpiece specimen, very selected from many dives and very difficult to clean them to reach this results, hours cleaning with ultrasonic scaler. The Muricanthus population in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco is unique, as the specimens are inside a lagoon with mangroves nearby and protected from currents, waves and directly sun light, most of them covered with algae and mud keeping their apex, spines and body generally intact, something completely different from the populations in the open sea, with much damage to their shells-spines, fully with erosion, drill holes, really ugly and complete covered by very thick hard to remove calcareous attachments. Even so, these specimens here are incredibly rare with so much better conditions for the species, with incredible shapes and spines. Without a doubt this black dense masterpiece is a treasure for anyone who wins it. Carefully handpicked with years of experience and cleaned preserving its natural parts. It is much more impressive in your hands because of the details that you can't see in the photos. Super high selection in situ with the best exceptional conditions you can get for this extraordinary and seldom seen species. For any MURICIDAE lovers of aesthetics and advancer collectors. Masterpiece and the king of darkness - Black ultra rare. Found attached and buried between muddy stones with oysters about 6m- 7m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. November 2025.
