| Note | Super esthetic and exquisite scattered dorsal maculae patterning highlight this exceptional deep water specimen. Moderately heavy/size ratio shell with deep nacre shine, perfect dark cream tan/shades of pink tinted extremities along with a produced posterior extremity and concealed spire (61.8 grams). Smooth rounded margins, modest rostration, and beautiful cream and mild/light tan/brown-toned hues circumscribing the porcelain white base. There is an obvious complete absence off spotting on the lateral walls. The specimen was taken by ROV at 88 meters on sand among sponges west off Salisbury Island, Esperance, Western Australia in 7/2022. The specimen shows subnacre growth irregularities, creases and disruptions on the posterior ramp and mid-dorsum. Grade: F+/F++. |
