| Note | Splendid, mature, large, moderately heavy and striking jeaniana sheryae with an intense large dark maculae-based brown/black dorsal blotch complemented by large sized notable spotting on apricot pigmented lateral walls (50.7 grams) . The jeaniana shows a thick hyper-glossy nacre like polished glass with a gorgeous dorsum and perfect extremities. The shell is highlighted by moderate to strong rostration and a classic interrupted blue/gray dorsal line. The images do not do this shell justice. Collected with skill by diver Gary Wilson in 35 meters while dining gourmet on a blue Spirastrella sponge off High Rock, Point Quobba, Western Australia in 6/2009. The specimen presents with a small unseeable palpable wobble on the mid-lateral labral wall. Grade: GEM minus. |
