| Note | Unique mature specimen with dispersed light lateral wall/dorsal spotting pattern and an exquisite display of four pale transverse dorsal bands. Superbly inflated, excellent nacre gloss and harmonious clustering of pepper spotting on both dorsal lateral ramps. Perfect extremities with tan/nude pigmentation.The specimen shows notable rostration and a moderate weight/size ratio (33.3 grams) with a copper brown/orange fringed and pristine base. The smaller sized spotting on the lateral wall and margins are esthetically admirable and classic for this subspecies. Removed from a sponge by Scuba diver at 60 meters southwest of Esperance, Western Australia in the 1990s. The specimen has an impossible to see but palpable mild and shallow wobble on the posterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
