| Name | Leiosolenus peruvianus - Rare, inside substratum , (A. d'Orbigny, 1846) |
| Size | 59 mm |

| Note | A very interesting Natural History item, a rock nodule (measuring 72 mm) which includes at least one live-taken but dry specimen of Leiosolenus peruvianus (of about 59 mm), a boring mytilid bivalve endemic of the southeastern Pacific. This Leiosolenus peruvianus specimen is still in situ inside its substratum, with its shell and its soft parts dry, in this case a rock nodule. You can extract the specimen from it, or keep it as it is, as an interesting Natural History Item. |
