| Note | One very nice live-taken and large specimen of Fissurella maxima, the largest species of Fissurellidae. This species lives on rocks, usually near and under forests of giant Lessonia algae. This specimen was carefully cleaned and treated with mineral oil to highlight the very nice pattern on the dorsum, which is in good condition with some minor flaws in the dorsum, and a border with several tiny nicks near the anterior part, as can be seen in the images. I have received several of these cleaned specimens, which I am here offering for cheap due to the small flaws. |
