| Note | One very nice live-taken and large specimen of Fissurella maxima, the largest species of Fissurellidae. This species lives on rocks, usually near and under forests of giant Lessonia algae. This specimen was carefully cleaned and treated with mineral oil to highlight the very nice pattern on the dorsum, and it is in very good condition, with a single small chip in the border, but with some minor scars in the dorsum as can be seen in the images. I have received several of these cleaned specimens, which I am here offering for cheap due to the small flaws. |
