| Note | ULTRA RAREEEEE SPECIES OF TURRIDAE!! The biggest and the only one ever found! After diving for 15 years in many places in the Mexican Pacific, using compressors and free diving from 1m to 25m, I had never encountered this ultra rare solitary and attractive species. It is very likely the largest ever found in the history of this species. Virtually WRS with a huge 48.6mm and extraordinary the high level of conditions. Gem minus. Black-brownish glossy colors between the elegant dense axial ribs and spiral spire black structured bands, extended spire with the most intact-excellent apex, white-yellowish aperture color with black outline serrated lip and the most beautiful brown-reddish background colors between the shell body. There is virtually no information about this species, and it is only known to exist in Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Mexico, specifically in Tenacatita Bay, just 20 km from Isla Toriz, where this specimen was found. This specimen was found 10 cm below the fine sand on the last rocks that descend the rocky slope and where the sandy platforms begin. Absent in many collections and virtually. Do not miss this once in a lifetime Propebela ballenaensis. Definitely for the Turridae specialist and advancer collectors. Curiosly: (Ballena means whale in Spanish).
