| Note | A MAGNIFICENT GRANULOSA WITH A SURPRISING POSSIBLE CONUS STRATURATUS. The particular shell here caught our attention in the first place because of the big size. The attachments are wonderful. Not only a series of dead solitary corals, but also interesting shells: a dead Monilea callifera, several pieces of other dead shells, among these a curious Conus which we think, but we are not sure, is a Conus straturatus G.B. Sowerby, 1865, 38 mm in size. We never got this Conus before, extremely rare in the Philippines. We browsed all Phasmoconus from the Indo Pacific in Monnier & All, and this was the most likely species. We have also doubts if it is not a giorossi or collisus cf.... Amazing for the coffee-table. Natural history curiosity of a superior level.
