| Note | Superbly, RARE patterned specimen with an impressive color variation, mixed spotting and sparse transverse bands accentuating the dorsal pattern. The shell feartures a primary grey colored dorsum that shines like a crystal ball. The vercoi boasts a hyper-glossy nacre accentuating the intense macro-spotting on both lateral walls fused on a bed of deep flesh-toned margins. A sight to see in hand, especially with the multicolored heavily glazed base. Super shape/symmetry with moderate inflation with keen rostration present on the posterior extremity. The pattern and lateral wall coloration combine to make this specimen a cherished collectors top drawer showpiece. Collected by Scuba diver Daniel Edinger at 18 meters while grazing on a purple sponge nestled on top of a ridge reef off Starvation Boat Harbor, Hopetoun, Western Australia in 3/2017. The shell is difficult to fault. Grade: GEM. |
