| Note | Fantastic niger specimen that is a mature and hyper-pigmented beauty. Super chocolate/coffee brown lateral walls with amazing red dots, fading into deeper shades as it wraps the margins. Perfect orange tipped extremities and heavily glazed base. The dorsum is 100% black. Strong dorsal glossy nacre with two unnoticeable micro mini flecks, one mid-dorsum and a second on the labral lateral wall along with insignificant deep subnacre mini flecks on the labral base. Heavy weight to size ratio at 66.6 grams.Taken by diver in 1970 at 2 meters under shore rocks in Prony Bay, New Caledonia Grade: F+++/GEM. |
