Amphidromus smithi - GOLDEN SPIRAL BANDS , Fulton, 1896
Size
35.79 mm
Locality
Gia Lai province, Vietnam
Note
This elegant shell exhibits a slender, elongate ovate-conical profile with a moderately high spire, gently convex whorls, and clearly impressed sutures. Its coloration is dominated by creamy white and pale ivory tones, accented by several narrow golden-yellow spiral bands that clearly define the whorl boundaries. The lower body whorl gradually develops warmer ochre-yellow and light olive tones, with fine axial streaking adding subtle texture. The aperture is bordered by a thick, reflected white peristome, giving the shell a clean and refined appearance. F+++/Gem, July 2024. #11549
