| Note | SPECIAL GIANT BROWN-REDDISH COLOR FORM WOOOOOW!! LOTTIIDAE - Notoacmea fascicularis (Menke, 1851). MONSTER SIZE with 29mm for the species. Hard to get species with so fantastic conditions for this size. Rare!! Awesome micro multiple radial ribs mixed with numerous rings all around with a brown color and reddish effect, the top of the dorsal part is coming with some kind of white erosion, seldom seen so nice and great special color. Incredible shiny-glossy ventral side with special brown ring around the inner lip and in the middle a great large brown coffee spot. Apparently feeding on the algae in the stones and marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Playa el Tecuan, Jalisco, Mexico. May 2025.
