Such enormous specimens from the Great Barrier Reef have not been freshly available for around fifty years, and few examples, even then, would have attained the size of the current specimen. I am not aware of the current Exceptional quality for such advanced age and size. Data: Great Barrier Reef, off Cooktown, Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australia; upon rock reef substrate; 3 m; dived; 1974. Size: 95.7 mm. Grading: Gem.
