GEM. Conus episcopus is an Indian Ocean species, often confused with other Conidae such as Conus pennaceus and Conus episcopatus. The Rodriguez shells show little variation in shape and coloration but in the set we obtained recently this is one of the three best pieces. Irregular supply.
Mauritius, Rodriguez Island. Snorkeling. 1-2 m deep. Partially or totally burried in sand under stones or dead corals. December 2011.
