| Note | Wonderfully pigmented and patterned, heavy, superbly inflated and lushy nacred Hawaiian tiger. The shell has desirable intense leopard spotting blended over a unique deep exquisite multicolored blue/pink primary color bed with a distinct and impressive reddish brown mantle line. The shell exhibits perfect siphons, base and teeth with a moderate to strong weight/size ratio (239.2g). The shell is outstanding, wide (90.0mm) and massive when held in hand. An Hawaiian tiger that would be proud to own, considering the legendary diver who collected it. Captured by the late/great Scuba diver Paul Kanner off Molokai, Hawaii in 8/1972. The tiger was nabbed at 14-15 meters under a reef ledge on a day dive. Original hand-written data slip from Paul included. The schilderiana demonstrates two small subnacre/glossed shallow indentations on the labral mid-dorsum. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
