| Note | Thick glossy nacre, large and remarkably inflated specimen with an impressive unique golden/apricot hued mid-dorsal transverse interrupted band. The band is complemented by diffuse alternating soft banding and spotting across both ramps painted on the China white primary hued dorsum. The shell displays perfect and lovely flesh-toned/burnt orange extremities and shows moderate weight (118.8 grams). Trawled at 120-140 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, off Eucla, Western Australia in 3/2009. The shell shows minor negligible blemishes. Grade: GEM minus. |
