| Note | Exceptionally dark praeclara collected from a yellow bollard sponge in 76 metres of water west of the Southern Zuytdorp cliffs during August 2024. It has a near black dorsum, an ink black base and deep apricot colour margins. Graded Fine+++ as it has a growth interruption on it's labial side. The photo with a praeclara on a sponge shows a different shell to that offered but demonstrates the habit and sponge type on which we found this specimen. It is a stunning and exceptional shell. |
