| Note | An exquisite, stately and perfectly sculptured rare deep-water cone from the western Pacific. This is an anatomically admirable/balanced/symmetrical specimen. The elegant and regal shell demonstrates a superb intricate pattern composed of lighter tawny/brown hues. The protoconch and spire are flawless and the main body features a exceptional glossy nacre. Collected by tangle net at 150-180 meters off Balut Island, Sarangani Strait, Mindanao, Philippines in late 2023. The Turriconus specimen reveals a few subtle rough spots by palpation on the natural lip. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
