Note | MONSTER MONSTER WOOOOOO!! Monster size for the species in my region and in Jalisco with the best black color form. Special thick black lines pattern all around combined with the large spines , massive Wide form and really heavy exemplar. This specimen is the largest found in the Barra de Navidad lagoon, something unusual for this species, which is usually found in the open sea or bays and not in areas near mangroves. The population in Barra de Navidad is small and small in size, this one here is incredibly gigantic and colossal with 136.8mm. Unlike individuals in the open ocean. I was excited and amazed to find such a giant in this area, unbelievable. Officially the largest ever found in this area in the history of this lagoon in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco. The spines are so thick and wide combined with an extremely thick massive lip, the siphonal canal is just amazing and curved, wide magnificent spire with great spines, unusual for this giant sizes. There is an unusual and extremely rare operculum pearl formed in the inner part of the operculum , first time found this kind of pearl, for aesthetic and lovers of unique special nature things like this. Apex almost complete but there is some micro holes around and some holes perforations near apex and tiny light erosion almost lost, the rest of the shells is just awesome. Extremely rare with his exceptional conditions for this Monster size. F+++-F++. There is enormous variability in these 2 species living together. Muricanthus ambigus and radix. They even seem to interbreed with each other causing unique and rare forms combinations. The Muricanthus population in Barra de Navidad, Jalisco is unique, as the specimens are inside a lagoon with mangroves nearby and protected from currents and waves, most of them covered with algae and mud keeping their apex, spines and body generally intact, something completely different from the populations in the open sea, with much damage to their shells. Even so, these specimens here are incredibly rare with so much conditions for the species and with incredible shapes. High selected rare specimens for this special auction, choose your favorite.
