| Note | Over the past 10-15 years the number of divers that access the Southern West-Australian coastline has steadily declined to the point where only a handful of dives are carried out each year. This is due to increased shark encounters and newly implemented Marine Parks which have drastically cut into the areas where Commercial Specimen Shell divers can access. Each year we bravely embark upon a campaign to explore the deeper waters off Esperance which are well known for large, bulbous shaped venusta and this is one of the wonderful DIVER HAND COLLECTED specimens we were fortunate enough to harvest. A STRIKING PATTERN which is made up of soft pink dorsum and just a handful of brown speckles. The STRONG GREY MARGINS are the most eye catching feature which are lightly dotted and have subtle purple hues where it connects to the dorsum. F+++/F++ with some attempted fish bites on the dorsum which are visible in the images but no bad lines or algae spots. Live collected from a large grey host sponge on the side a giant, monolithic rock at 34m. Off Esperance, Recherche Archipelago, W.A. April 2025 *White marks are from camera reflection.
