| Note | Over the past 10-15 years Z.rosselli from the Perth/Rottnest Island area have become increasingly scarce with them seemingly disappear from both well known shallow water and deeper reef habitats. Just recently we have found a new area which had incredible sponge and marine life in which holds a small population of Z.rosselli of which this is one of the few shells we have been able to collect. This specimen is a STUNNING CLASSIC BLACK colour for most of the shell with the well defined; CONTRASTING WHITE patch on the highest point of the shell. SUPER FLARED MARGINS surround this shell with PERFECT CANALS and a HEAVY BASE makes for a SUPERB SHELL in which images do not do it any justice. Gem- with just a very soft line across the white patch on the dorsum which is very typical for the species but no chips or bad damage. Live taken from a host, purple cup sponge on low profile limestone reef at 28m. Five Fathom Bank, West of Garden Island, W.A. April 2025 *White marks are from camera reflection.
