| Note | Crabbed specimen with narrow flame mantle slot. ROV collected from 76 metres of water west of the Southern Zuytdorp Cliffs, Western Australia near Kalbarri. This specimen was dead collected, the anterior siphon has a fine chip that can be felt but not seen with obvious dorsal nacre scrapes and nacre wear. This form of rosselli we find in the same area as we collect praeclara off the southern Zuytdorp Cliffs. The are consistently very small with small narrow dorsal windows. Described as a new rosselli variant by Marco Chiapponi in the last few months. Magic little rosselli. |
