| Note | F+++. The Spondylus swinneni is uncommon and hard to get because usually it is taken from deep water, out of diving range. From Talibon, northern Bohol. Talibon is in front of Jau Island, there is usually a soft sea breeze and the world is all green and blue with white birds in this small Island. On the sand beaches, fishermen cleantheir nets and one can usually find a few Strombus and deeper water shells from the surrounding waters.One of the best ever, spectacular umbo, with classic "swinneni-pattern", longer spines than usual, typical burned orange brown and a very long umbo zone on the lower valve.
