The form name "inscripta" fits best. Very fresh dead shell with part of the animal still present, collected from sponge garden in 123 metres of water west of False Entrance off Shark Bay in Western Australia during May 2024. This is the first inscripta we have collected during the past five years.
The shell exhibits the classic dark chevron pattern on a grey background. Superimposed on this partially covering the dorsum are radial lines of fine tan spots very similar to what we see in the lentigenosa form of vercoi.
While it is a young sub-adult shell it is otherwise in gem condition and a one of a kind.
