| Note | Collected by ROV from 77 metres of water west north west of Kalbarri in Western Australia during April 2024. This stunning bright apricot specimen was saved from a hungry starfish. These pectens have unusually high domed basal valve and a concave top valve. Unfortunately the shell was broken while being photographed but it is still a specimen of a very rare species. The piece that was dislodged accompanies the shell and a repair maybe possible. |
