Note | Gorgeous and extra glossy well-patterned armenica with a desirable addition of dark dorsal spots, known by some Aussie collectors as "fingerprints". The specimen shows a classic beige dorsal primary color and perfect flesh-tone extremities. Extremely developed extremities, slightly rostrate. These specimens are rarely collected today after Australian restrictions were imposed beginning with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Trawled at 90-120 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, Eucla, Western Australia in 1998. A few minor subnacre silt stains on the columellar anterior ramp and on the labral lateral wall. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
