Note | On offer here we have a FIRST CLASS marginata consueta. This specimen has all the characteristics that make this sub-species so beautiful. Its dark speckled pattern with a BLACK BLOTCH on the anterior area of the dorsum and the grey margins are exceptional, which run to EXTENDED GEM CANALS at both ends of the shell and make for something really special! GEM/Gem- grade which is mainly precautionary as there is no faults i can see, only the tiny lines on the dorsum that all marginata exhibit. Found by diver Thomas Daly on a yellow and white Geodia sponge, perched high up on the side of a cave wall at 16m. West of Garden Island W.A February 2024 *White marks are from camera reflection.
